I had a blood draw this morning at 10:00am. My platelet count has gone up 18 points from 48 on Monday to 66 today. I'm headed in the right direction!!! :-) I'm pretty sure I can make the 100 mark by next Thursday.
If I can make 100 points by Thursday, my last chemo will be done by mid-afternoon on Sept. 4th! HURRAY!!!
Because my platelets and my hemoglobin are both low, I am really tired. Walking upstairs with a light laundry basket makes my heart pound and my legs feel like rubber. I napped yesterday while Arland cooked supper. Napping just blows my mind...coming from someone who needed only 4 hours of sleep per night for the first 60 years!!! :-)
I will have another blood draw next Wednesday to see if chemo is a "go" for 7:30am on Thursday. I'm praying I can have chemo so I can say, "I'M DONE!!!"

DeleteI am praying for a count of 100+ on your blood draw tomorrow, and for you to be THROUGH with chemo on Thursday! Then it will be time for a big par-tay! Here's a golden thread for you today: I tested Landon this morning and he was ABOVE FALL TARGET for 2nd grade! woo hoo! He told me he's been reading all summer, and I believe him. ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH!!! Above the Fall target for 2nd grade???!!!??? I am soooo happy he has been reading this summer! HURRAY for him!!! That is a HUGE Golden Thread! WOW! I plan to stop at school in a few weeks when I'm over this last chemo to say "Hi" to everyone. Hopefully, I'll see you then.

I just found out and am so sorry to hear you are having these issues. I understand the ups and downs, but with the love and support of your wonderful family and 1000's of friends, you will get to where you want to be. I am sending all of my love and support. Oh my gosh...I haven't thought about the PSY guy for 100 years!!! UGH! Those turtlenecks were sooooooo bad......and yes, I did grin about that memory!!!
